Registration of Manufactured Home Dealers

Va. Code §§ 46.2-1908 and 46.2.1919

Please note that is is unlawful for any person to perform the functions of a manufactured home dealer without first obtaining a license as a manufactured home dealer from the Department of Housing and Community Development and obtaining a certificate of dealer registration from the DMV as provided for by the Virginia Code sections referenced above.

Registration Process

To obtain a Virginia Certificate of Dealer Registration to sell manufacturered homes, you must:

  1. Hold a valid Department of Housing and Community Development Dealer License and include a photocopy of that license with your initial or renewal application for registration.
  2. Complete the Form DSD-14A application.

Registration Fees for One Year

The annual registration fee (DSD 14A) is $50. The Virginia DMV Certificate of Registration will expire concurrently with your Department of Housing and Community Development dealer license.
