  •  Customers may purchase hunting and fishing licenses, obtain temporary boat registrations, and submit applications for permanent boat titles and registrations at all DMV offices.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Note: No tickets for testing will be issued 30 minutes before closing.

Directions:

From West: Take I-64 W to I-81 South.

From I-81 South: Exit onto I-581. Continue on I-581 to Route 220 South. Take the second Rocky Mount exit. Turn left onto Route 40 West. Continue to 2nd traffic light and turn onto Tanyard Road. DMV is located approximately .5 miles on the right.

The Pre-Trip Inspection and Skills Test are conducted only at the following location:
From Roanoke: Rt. 220S, 2nd Rocky Mount Exit - to Rt. 40 E/W & Rt. 122N/S. Left at end of exit. Right onto Pell Ave. Large vacant lot on Left across from MW Windows Warehouse.

From Martinsville: Rt. 220 N., 2nd Rocky Mount Exit - to Rt. 40 E/W & Rt. 122 N/S. Left at end of exit. Right onto Pell Ave. Large vacant lot on Left across from MW Windows Warehouse.
