DMV to Sell Fishing Licenses at Mid-Atlantic Saltwater Fishing Expo
All DMV Services Available During Event
RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, will be open for business at the Mid-Atlantic Saltwater Fishing Expo on March 30 through April 1 at the Showplace in Richmond. DMV services will be available Friday, March 30 from 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thanks to a new partnership with the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF), DMV customers can now buy fishing and hunting licenses and temporary boat registrations at any DMV customer service center, including the mobile offices. "We are always looking for better ways to make government services even more accessible to customers," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "With so many avid fishermen attending the Mid-Atlantic Saltwater Fishing Expo, we are bringing DMV to them making it convenient to purchase fishing licenses on the spot."
DMV 2 Go is equipped with the latest wireless technology to accomplish the needed connection to DMV's computer systems. The wireless capability allows the mobile office to provide secure service at virtually any location. The full service mobile office provides all DMV transactions so visitors to the expo can conduct any DMV-related business.
If in need of a driver's license, ID card or other DMV services, customers are encouraged to research and bring the proper documents to complete their transactions by using the interactive document guide at www.dmvNOW.com.
