DMV 2 Go to Serve Customers at Liberty Mountain Conference Center
Mobile Office Provides All DMV Services During Central Virginia Job Fair
RICHMOND - DMV's mobile customer service center called DMV 2 Go will provide all DMV services on Monday, August 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Central Virginia Job Fair at Liberty Mountain Conference Center located at 3700 Candler's Mountain Road in Lynchburg.
The full service DMV 2 Go mobile office provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver's licenses and ID cards. Applicants may get their pictures taken and complete vision screenings. Customers can order disabled parking placards or plates, and get vehicle titles, license plates and decals. If Virginians have recently moved, they can stop in to update their addresses on their DMV record, update their organ donor status, and apply to register to vote. If a potential employer needs your driving transcript, you can obtain it on site. Customers can also apply for Virginia's new veterans ID card.
"We are committed to serving our customers at convenient times and locations by bringing services directly to them," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "We know that people attending this job fair may be moving to the area from another part of Virginia or from another state, and we want to be there to help them with any services they may need."
Congressman Bob Goodlatte and Congressman Robert Hurt are hosting the job fair in conjunction with Central Virginia Community College to help small businesses find qualified candidates and Central and Southside Virginians find employment opportunities.
"Having the DMV mobile office at our upcoming job fair will be a great asset for job seekers," said Congressman Goodlatte. "Enabling job seekers to quickly access DMV services such as acquiring their driving transcript or taking their CDL test could put them one step closer to finding the job they are looking for."
Congressman Hurt said, "We thank the DMV for providing this service. As we work to bring together our Central Virginia business owners and job seekers, I am pleased to know that our veterans will be able to not only participate in our job fair today, but they will also be able to receive assistance with their veterans ID cards as a result of this service."
Customers are encouraged to research and bring the proper documents to complete their transactions by using the interactive document guide at www.dmvNOW.com.
