DMV 2 Go to Serve Customers at Hampden-Sydney College
DMV Mobile Office Will Provide All DMV Services Before Football Game
RICHMOND - DMV’s mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, will provide all DMV services to customers for the first time at Hampden-Sydney College. DMV 2 Go will be open for business before the football game against Huntingdon tomorrow, Saturday, September 22 in the Kirby Field House parking lot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The full service mobile office provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver’s licenses and ID cards. Knowledge tests are available, and applicants may get their pictures taken and complete vision screenings. Veterans can apply for Virginia’s new veterans ID card.
Customers can order a personalized Hampden-Sydney license plate or souvenir plate. The Hampden-Sydney plate is a revenue-sharing plate, which means $15.00 of the $25.00 annual fee is transferred to Hampden-Sydney College to support scholarships for Virginia students.

This visit to campus highlights a number of colleges and universities DMV 2 Go is visiting throughout the Commonwealth to both greet new students this fall and serve existing students, faculty, and staff. In this case, DMV 2 Go will also be able to serve Hampden-Sydney alumni and other guests.
"Our goal with this program is to bring DMV services directly to today’s busy Virginians at locations convenient to them, and we are excited to visit Hampden-Sydney College," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "We know this game against Huntingdon will draw in a big crowd as it is a family weekend."
