DMV Mobile Office Will Serve NASCAR Fans at Bristol Race
DMV 2 Go Supplements Other Area DMV Service Outlets

RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, will visit Bristol Motor Speedway for the first time on Friday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. As fans gather for the start of NASCAR race weekend, the handicapped-accessible full service DMV on wheels will provide all DMV transactions. DMV 2 Go will be located in the Corporate Display lot located in front of the Hospitality Village and between the Speedway and Dragway. This visit is unique considering the Bristol Motor Speedway is actually located in Tennessee.

"Although the race track is located just over the state line in Tennessee, we know a lot of Virginia NASCAR fans will be there," said Sunni Brown, DMV spokesperson. "We have taken our mobile offices to other large events and we are able to help customers renew their driver's licenses, purchase special plates, plus much more."

DMV 2 Go will also be in the area on August 28 to serve students, faculty and staff at Emory & Henry College located at 30461 Garnand Drive, Emory, 24327 for the first time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The mobile office will be located on Collins Drive in front of Van Dyke Cafeteria.

"We're excited to launch this convenient service as E & H students, faculty and staff return from summer break," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "Our goal with the mobile office program is to bring DMV services directly to today's busy Virginians at locations convenient to them."

In addition to DMV 2 Go visits, DMV has two full-service offices and one DMV Select in the Washington County and Bristol area.

The full service offices include the Abingdon Customer Service Center located at 25552 Lee Highway, Abingdon, 24211 and the Bristol Customer Service Center located at 21341 Old Dominion Road, Bristol, 24202.

The Abingdon DMV Select at the Washington County Treasurer's Office located at One Government Center Place, Suite B, Abingdon, 24210 offers many vehicle transactions including titles, registrations and license plates. DMV Selects do not conduct driver's license or ID card transactions.
