Responsibilities of Online Fleet Participants

Vendor (If Used):

  • Training of fleet personnel
  • Liaison between the fleet and DMV
  • Daily deposit of funds into DMV’s account
  • Daily reconciliation and summary reports
  • Inventory management of license Plates and decals
  • Ensuring that the fleet complies with DMV’s procedures

Fleet (Using a Vendor):

  • Submitting the electronic application transaction for titles and registrations
  • Printing registration cards
  • Forwarding of daily reports and ownership documents directly to DMV

Fleet (Not Using a Vendor):

  • Development and testing of appropriate software and interface to DMV’s computer system
  • Procedures for training and monitoring of fleet personnel
  • Daily deposit of funds into DMV’s account
  • Daily reconciliation and summary reports
  • Inventory management of license plates and decals
  • Submitting the electronic application transaction for titles and registrations
  • Printing registration cards
  • Forwarding of daily reports and ownership documents directly to DMV

DMV:

  • Performing quality control desk audits
  • Providing assistance to the vendors and fleets with unusual situations
  • Consignment and delivery of inventory items to the fleet site
  • Printing and mailing of titles
