Sterling DMV Office is Now Open After Renovations
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on October 22
RICHMOND - The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' (DMV) Sterling Customer Service Center (CSC) located at 100 Free Court opened today after being closed a month for building renovations.
The new Sterling CSC has four additional customer windows, cameras at every window, an enlarged testing area, additional exit door, and upgraded public restrooms to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
"The new upgrades and added amenities, will allow us to serve customers more efficiently," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. "It will also minimize customer wait times, improve his or her DMV experience, and provide the newest technologies available for our customer service operation."
DMV will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 22 at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the grand re-opening. A number of legislators and local dignitaries are scheduled to attend.
During this closure, the DMV 2 Go mobile office was on site to serve customers.
DMV has 75 offices across Virginia and a fleet of five DMV 2 Go mobile customer service centers.
